These guards are both larger and thicker than the less than maximum size guards. And, for him, both these maximum size and less than maximum size guards, work just fine with his boxer briefs. New product has bad chemical smell I have used these for several years and have always been satisfied. But the guards in the most recent shipment from amazon have a very strong chemical smell. The package is new and says they are improved. But the chemical smell belies that. They smell and so are not usable. A necessary item for men with incontinence… My husband has incontinence issues due to prostate and urinary surgery. Incontinence, I think, can be even more difficult for men, going by his experience. I won’t say “he loves” these pads, who would? But he feels they suit him the best. And this is a permanent issue. There is no odor either. He says they feel more comfortable and secure for him.
