I hate that I have to use these I hate that I have to use these, but I’ve found they give me the freedom to once more have a life, being more absorbent than other pads I’ve tried, and by being longer, they allow coverage for ‘cough accidents’ when sitting or leaning, as well as if upright. For me, living in a wheelchair, that extra length can save me from having to change clothes several times a day. Apparently they have something that fights odor, as no one, and I’ve asked my spouse and closest friends, at times, can tell when I’ve had a leakage and am having to wait to reach facilities to correct the matter. So sparing me embarrassment has been wonderful. Not having to resort to a diaper is wonderful; I feel almost as if I’m still a ‘real’ person since finding these, and not just some smelly old thing who belongs in a back room or nursing facility, as I’ve heard said about others less fortunate than I.
Ultimate letdown I donât know why P&G decided this product provides Ultimate absorbency. It might be okay for those who need light or moderate protection, but if you suffer from sudden urges to pee right now and canât really control your bladder when that happens, this is NOT the pad for youâunless you are never more than six feet from the bathroom. Or you never wear jeans. By the time you get the jeans unzipped and are in position, itâs likely to be too late. The pad, the jeans, the underwear, and you will be soaked.The only reason I gave these pads two stars instead of one is that they are nice and long.They might be good if you have leaks of a tablespoon or less. But if you have âleaksâ that could be measured in ounces, look elsewhere.
Always Ultimate Overnight is Comparable to a Very Large Panty Liner As soon as I saw these pads, I knew they would provide NEITHER “ultimate” nor “overnight” protection against bladder leaks. The pad has about the same look as a panty liner and it is not all that much thicker. It is huge, but thin. The first time I wore this pad, during the day, it leaked. I would not take a chance to wear it overnight. It would be completely saturated if left in place OVERNIGHT. I am on a mission to find a pad that fits my current needs since Poise had changed their version of “Ultimate.” I had used Poise brand for many years, but since the new and “improved” hourglass version came out, the Poise pad now leaks. I also ordered a new brand that I found here on Amazon: Prevail Overnight pads. Prevail is the best of these 3 brands, in my humble opinion. Prevail has an hourglass shape, but it is thick, soft, comfortable, and very absorbent. Prevail did not leak during the overnight trial. When I read the 1 star reviews for this…
