Great as baby changing pads and other mess prevention. I got these for use with a baby around 7 months old, just after he decided diaper changes were torture sessions that he wanted no part of. These are larger than any baby changing pad, so it helps give us extra protection against messes as he tries his best to squirm away from the diaper change. Quiet Good size. So far so good. I bought it to put at the end of the bed for my dog who has sometimes bladder leaks. I like that it’s not super loud. I throw the dogs blanket over it and she and I both don’t notice it’s there really. We haven’t tested the water holding capabilities, but it’s there just in case and I love the peace of mind
